ABOUT ME

I am currently an MS student at Colorado State University in Fort Collins where I am conducting conservation genomics research on Colorado River Cutthroat Trout (O. clarkii pleuriticus). In 2023, I was awarded an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship which means I have plans to stay at CSU for my PhD! I received a B.S. in marine science with a minor in statistics from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo in 2021. As a hard worker fueled by an immense curiosity to learn, I am rarely pulled away from a project which grabs my attention.

In August 2022, I finished a position with NOAA Fisheries as a corpsmember with the Watershed Stewards Program, California Conservation Corps in partnership with Americorps. This position gave me invaluable, hands-on experience with collaborative fisheries resource management.

Besides wrangling fish and conducting research, you can find me exploring local trails on feet and wheels, climbing, writing, reading, and drinking coffee. I have published peer reviewed papers, informal articles, and even poetry! I am also involved in science communication and community outreach, and love getting involved in local projects.
